Giving Back
At Gotham Acupuncture, we believe that service and education are essential to healing. Giving back is part of who we are — supporting communities through international aid, affordable education, and local wellness initiatives.

International Aid – Guatemala
For more than a decade, Dr. Peter Caron has volunteered in Guatemala, bringing free acupuncture and holistic care to underserved communities. Through the Global Healthworks Foundation, he has provided thousands of treatments to individuals who would otherwise have no access to healthcare — helping ease pain, restore balance, and improve quality of life.
This October 2025, Dr. Caron will return to Guatemala once again to serve indigenous communities. With your support, we can continue to bring healing and hope where it's needed most.
New York Acupuncture Education (NYAE)
Founded by Dr. Peter Caron, New York Acupuncture Education (NYAE) was created to provide the best possible training for the next generation of acupuncturists. Many new graduates enter the field without the confidence or hands-on skills they need — and that's where NYAE steps in.
Through low-cost, high-quality teaching clinics and courses, students gain practical experience, mentorship, and community support. Patients benefit from affordable care, while students grow into confident, capable healers prepared to thrive in practice.

Upper West Health – Community Wellness
Founded by Dr. Peter Caron, Upper West Health is a collaboration of skilled practitioners dedicated to elevating the health and vitality of our neighborhood. By combining acupuncture, chiropractic, movement specialists, nutrition, and mindfulness experts, we bring diverse perspectives to community care.
Our mission is simple: to keep our community moving, connected, and well. From free tai chi and Pilates in the park to guided meditation, rucking, and wellness consultations, Upper West Health offers free and low-cost events that make health accessible to everyone on the Upper West Side.
OnPoint NYC
Dr. Peter Caron served as a supervisor for acupuncture at OnPoint NYC, the largest harm reduction service provider on the East Coast. OnPoint makes history as the first U.S. organization to launch Overdose Prevention Centers, offering safe spaces, holistic services, and critical support for marginalized communities.
From acupuncture and meditation to overdose prevention, mental health care, and outreach, OnPoint embodies healing with dignity. Their mission is to improve health, safety, and well-being through compassion, connection, and harm reduction.
